God's Hand in Everything
Hello everyone!
This week was insane!! Here is the whole run down! It's actually kind of a long story but it's very tender and I've learned sooo much during this whole roller coaster.
Before I became companions with Sister Fox, I saw on Facebook that she was coming to the Detroit Michigan Mission. I was like no way! I know her from high school! Then when president told me that I would be her trainer I was totally shocked! I was really nervous and I didn't think we would get a long. The first day we got to our area she completely changed my whole perspective of her. She has quickly become one of my very best friends. I have learned how to have more empathy and charity for others during this whole experience. Once I put all my effort into listening and trying to understand my companion, my love for her sky rocketed! There were many times that I wondered why on earth I was her companion and I doubted that I was equipped with the knowledge I needed to sustain and support her. Every time I felt inadequate to be her trainer I would think back to the time president told me that while he was praying to know who should train Sister Fox, my face kept coming to his mind. Suddenly, all of the things I have learned about taking each day a choice at a time, being patient, and finding satisfaction at your limits, came back to me. I know I needed to be her companion to listen to her cry, to hug her, and help her feel understood. I was really sad to see her go home on Friday, but I am glad she will be able to get the help she needs.
From Friday to Sunday I got to hang out in a trio with the Livonia sisters and that was a blast! My new companion is Sister Perez! She has been out for 17 months and will go home next transfer because she extended 30 days. She's from Chicago and is an amazing missionary! I am very excited to learn all I can from her. She has been an STL in Cleveland for a really long time. We are super excited to see the miracles roll in once we start working our area.
Love,
