Miracles Never Cease
Hola Amigos!
Sister Perez and I got to proselyte for one week before we had to go into self isolation. This is day 7 of isolation and still going strong! The ward has brought us so much food we could probably survive in isolation for months! We are so excited for April 1st when we can go outside again and talk to people in person! Also its snowing today! What's up with that?!
Sister Perez and I have had a lot of fun making up our own zumba routines and videoing them on the tennis courts. Maybe my mom will put our zumba video on my blog cause its hilarious. We're also like the only brown missionaries in our mission and all of Northville I'm pretty sure. I'm actually pretty pale now though. I like to call us the Asian and her little Mexican friend. Sister Perez doesn't like it as much as me. Haha
We've been calling all of the people in our area book who have been taught in the past. We started teaching 2 new people because of if! Our other main source of finding comes from friending and messaging people on Facebook which isn't my favorite cause there a lot of creepers on there! Ewe gross! We started teaching a guy names Seamus from Facebook so that's awesome!
Although our missionary work has changed drastically the miracles haven't ceased! The first day that Sister Perez and I went tracting a couple of weeks ago we found this super sweet girl named Ryan. She's 19, and works at a preschool/daycare. She is so prepared for the gospel it's incredible! 2 days ago we committed her to be baptized on May 9th! She was so excited that she researched baptism that night and went to target to buy herself some white pants to get baptized in! Yesterday we told her she doesn't need to bring her own pants haha. She's so cute.
We're also working with Carina who will be baptized on April 18th! We had a lesson with her last night over the phone with our ward mission leader and the spirit was so strong! We talked about the sacrament and what the Savior's sacrifice means to each of us. My appreciation for Christ's atonement grows more and more everyday!
This week I listened to a talk by Uchtdorf called "Behold the Man!" He talked about the most important day in all history was the day Jesus Christ performed his Atonement for us. This is my favorite quote from his talk:
"I testify that the most important day in the history of mankind was the day when Jesus Christ, the living Son of God, won the victory over death and sin for all of God’s children. And the most important day in your life and mine is the day when we learn to “behold the man”; when we see Him for who He truly is; when we partake with all our heart and mind of His atoning power; when with renewed enthusiasm and strength, we commit to follow Him. May that be a day that recurs over and over again throughout our lives."
When we see Christ for who he truly is our lives will change!
That was a long email, but it sounds like everyone else is in quarantine too so... y'all have time :)
Love,
Sister Butler

One of eleven of Ryan's cats. It's name is Bean. I think it's a midget cat or something. He is very strange.
