Hermana Mono
Hello backyard friends and country critters!
Covid Update: We're no longer able to do in-person lessons with anyone, but we can still do outdoor service!
I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one! A sweet sisters in our ward coordinated to have a couple families bring us Thanksgiving dinner. We stood outside as everyone drove by to drop off food to us! It felt like we were in a parade! Brother Godfrey was a true homie. He deep fried a Turkey for us and texted us pictures of every step. He was seriously so excited!
Our mission tour with Elder Johnson was awesome! We thought it was going to be Peter M Johnson, but when we logged into the meeting it was a white guy we didn't recognize. It was actually Kelly R. Johnson who spoke in this last conference about the microwave that caught on fire in his house. Him and his wife we super cute! The conference was every morning for 3 days! My favorite part was when we talked about how we can transition our authority I to power and how to refine our finding skills like the Brother of Jared.
This transfer is coming to a close next Tuesday! I can't believe how fast they're going by! This one was crazy because I've had two sick companions all transfer. One has mono and the other has migraines all the time. I think God really wanted me to learn how to take care of my companions and be more empathetic. At first I was really overwhelmed being the only consistent one able to do work. It helped me learn how to communicate so that I don't feel like I have to do everything alone. It's been disappointing not finding a lot of solid people to teach, but I'm not discouraged. It's crazy how much our and spiritual health is intertwined. It's a lot harder to feel the spirit when your body feels sick. It has made me even more grateful to have a healthy body.
Well that's all for now! Have a good week everyone! Love you!
Camels!
The other Clarkston sisters let me come to the zoo with them while the sick people stayed home. This bear was my favorite <3 we had a real connection.
