February 💖💖
Hello everyone!
Well I'm the worst because I haven't sent an email in FOREVER!! Here it is after more than a month. I actually have no idea how long it's been!
Transfers happened! Sister Steed and I are still in Lakewood, and our new companion is Sister Curle! I love Sister Curle sooo much! We are literally the same person! It's honestly creepy. We have the same favorite things and interests. But wait there's more! We have the same thought process! It's like she reads my mind all the time because she'll say exactly what I am thinking. We have so much fun. We even got permission to use our little gym so we are running like crazy! ðŸ‘
This week was really good! I feel like all we do is go to bed and wake up because the day goes by so quickly! We shoveled our friend Michael's driveway because he has a hurt leg still. We stopped teaching him a while ago because he hasn't been coming to virtual church. He came outside to thank us, and it was the first time I have ever seen him! He's gonna get baptized someday for sure!
We also got to shovel his neighbors driveway and he was super grateful and even said he wanted to come to church with us! He was an adorable little old man! ❄❄❄
Our friend Oscar is praying about a baptismal date! He already has one in mind, but he won't tell us. He's been taught pretty much everything now, so we're just trying to be patient with him! He brought his cousin to our lesson last time, so that was awesome! We asked him what his favorite treat is and he said dates. Who eats dates? 😂 I guess people in Uganda do.
We've had a lot of adventures with our apartment this week. For some reason we have tons of little beetles and moths, our dishwasher started leaking, and our ceiling was leaking a lot! We filled up one giant pot of water with how much it was dripping. Now we're really tight with our maintenance guy 😂
Another highlight of the month was stake conference! Stake conference was actually a huge answer to my prayers! During every session I felt like the speakers were talking directly to me! I could not even believe it. It definitely grew my faith that God can find us in our little apartment, and that we can see miracles everyday. That night we made some posts for the facebook page, and I told my companions that we would probably get a referral because of it. Then guess what?! That night we got a referral! I was SOOOO stoked! They even responded to us! Woohoo!
Have a wonderful week everyone! Stay safe and warm! It's freezing over here! ❄🥶
Love,
Sister Butler
